Before you jump into your session, though, here's what you should know about engagement photoshoots. Today, there are a handful of things you can do to make sure your photos turn out perfectly one-of-a-kind and feel right for you and your partner. Thankfully, you don't have to rely on those predictable poses and overdone locations, if that doesn't suit your aesthetics. But where do you start? Given that there are so many cheesy couples' photos and countless run-of-the-mill shots, it can be a challenge to snap a picture that is truly your own. If you’re in town for a short amount of time, book the earliest day possible so if the weather doesn’t cooperate we may have the opportunity to try for another day.Now that you and your partner are engaged, it’s time to commemorate the momentous occasion with a romantic photoshoot. But if it is one of those monsoonal days that doesn’t let up, we’ll postpone for another day. ![]() As everyone knows, the forecast isn’t always right. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and see if it might clear up or not. Sometimes it’s the rainy days that have the most glorious sunset. Miami can be a surprise in regard to the weather, like a lot of places. The only time we actually reschedule if it’s raining and doesn’t let up. In fact, it creates very soft, even lighting that’s flattering for skin tones and people tend to squint less as well. If it’s overcast, no worries – gorgeous photos can come from overcast skies. We’ll start out in the greenery and then head to the beach to catch the golden colors of sunset. Here’s a link to some ideas for what to wear to a couple photo shoot.įor sunset sessions, it’s the reverse. For sunrise sessions, I like to start out photographing on the beach and then move to the greenery where there’s some shade as the sun gets a little stronger. You can have a more casual outfit for the beach and something more dressy (including dress shoes) for the park, for example. It’s always nice having a two different outfits- you can change up the colors, the style, etc. Notice that they had one outfit for the beach and a different one for the greenery. This couple opted for a change of outfits mid-session.
